I have been playing and teaching chess in the Hudson Valley New York region for over 25 years both professionally and recreationally. I am a Candidate Master and tied for 1st in the 1997 New York State Open Class "B" Division.

I am a strong believer that everyone should be able to have a life of chess. That's why I became a teacher. Whether you're a just a beginner or an advanced student needing guidance, let's explore chess together!

I offer online, group and private lessons, separated by skill level. If you're unsure about which level is appropriate for you, I also offer placement tests!
